The Art of Wonder

“The most beautiful legends of the world” www.lunidea.com

Well-known plays such as Woody Allen’s Adulterers, and productions of my own scripts like The Story of the London Whale (Leicester Square Theatre, 2009), were staged in London between 2004 and 2010, marking the start of my artistic career.

Back in Switzerland in 2011, I continued to work prolifically in the performing arts. For the Love of a Stradivarius was created in 2014 at Théâtre du Jorat, known as “La Grange Sublime” (The Magnificent Barn). Based on the autobiographical book by the renowned violinist Pierre Amoyal, it marked a turning point in my career.

Artistic collaboration opportunities multiplied both in Switzerland and abroad. Highlights include a staging of the UN Nansen Award in 2015, Les Secrets du Petit Prince (The Secrets of the Little Prince), co-produced with the Rosey Concert Hall in 2016, and Les Contes de la Nuit (Tales of the Night) with the National Orchestra of Lorraine, which was performed at the Arsenal de Metz, the Reims Opera, and the Philharmonie de Paris in 2019. These creations are all very dear to my heart.

The emergence of the COVID pandemic sparked the idea of participatory immersive performances. I launched this first innovative project in 2020 with the support of Château de Vullierens in Switzerland, home to some of the most spectacular gardens in Europe. Alice au Jardin des Merveilles (Alice in the Wonder Garden), Alice de l’Autre Côté du Miroir (Alice through the Looking Glass), and other creations were co-produced in this magical setting. I would also like to give special mention to Tinka, set in the boreal forest of my childhood. Its 2024 tour in Norway, including a performance at the stunning Kilden Performing Arts Centre, will remain one of the most memorable milestones of my career.
